July 19 St. Anthony and a Viking dinner

Dinner theater in a Viking Sod Hut in St. Anthony.  Fun evening and "interesting" food.

Dinner guests got involved in the production too.

We saw some lovely moons, but rarely were awake late enough to see the stars!

Talk about a rugged landscape.  We drove down a long gravel road to get out to this lighthouse and it was like landing on the moon.  Really a strange surface on top of the cliffs.  Hard to imagine how they got the lighthouse here.  Building it must have been extremely difficult.

Garden along the highway.  The land in this area is so rocky that nothing will grow.  When they put the road in they brought in fill soil and some of it is along the sides so enterprising folks go out and plant their gardens.  Again, they don't own the land, they just use it.  No one bothers each others garden.  Most are planted near small lakes, which are EVERYWHERE around here.

I wonder if she goes to Sanibel in the winter?

Lupines grow everywhere around here and are just stunning.
