Obviously it has been a long time between good wifi and my updating. After leaving Bev and Ed's two things happened: we were never anywhere that offered decent wifi and we decided on the 24th to come on home. Our incredibly wonderful renters sent an email that they were having the house cleaned on the 27th and would be out by the 28th. Although we had planned to dilly dally all the way home, once we left Pennsylvania we found we could hardly wait to get back. We pretty much dead-headed it back. We made it to Jacksonville on the 26th and made reservations at The Grove RV Park across from our house for the evening of the 27th. When Merrill and Janet (our renter's and hopefully future good friends) heard we would be here they sped up their departure and insisted we stay in our home. God Bless them!!! As much as we love our little home on wheels, it was amazing to be back in our own bed again. The house looked PERFECT when we walked in the door and we felt overwhelmed with gratitude that we had been so lucky to have found Merrill and Janet at the last minute of our departure.
Since our return we have been busy moving back in. So much to do after 5 months of being away. We really did have all the comforts of home in our RV, but now we have to put some of that stuff back in the "big" home and of course clean our way out before storing it. We hit the worst weather we have had in 5 months as we got near home. It poured on the drive in and has either been scalding hot or raining as we unpack. Yesterday we got back in to work mode and went to the MLS meeting and on tour in the morning. It felt good to be getting back in the groove again and seeing that not a lot had changed. I'd hate to think we missed anything!! Ha ha. Today we will give the RV a deep clean and tomorrow it goes in to storage until the next trip.
I still have to finish the blog and upload more photos of the tail end of our journey. After Provincetown and that incredible whale watch we did have a few more adventures. Fred and I went to Nantucket, Gettysburg and visited one more cousin before we got on that fast track home. Hopefully over the weekend I will be caught up enough with the return stuff to get back in to the blog. These past 5 months have been the most amazing and we are so glad we had every moment of this time together. I want to put the finish on the blog and a final overview of cost, favorites and most remembered times. Stay tuned!
