May 18 Pigeon Forge and Dollywood

The highways in Tennessee sure are pretty.

No end to "entertainment" in Pigeon Forge

Creekside RV Park in Pigeon Forge.  We have the nicest spot that backs right up to the creek.

The neighbors are friendly and didn't hesitate to come calling.

One of the tame rides at Dollywood.  Lots of roller coaster rides if that's your game....just not ours.

A show at Dollywood that has Dolly on screen and her brother, sister and cousins  on stage.  It was really good and included the story of her life.

The words to "A Coat of Many Colors"

It was interesting in Memphis and Nashville to see how many of the songs we've come to know and love were written just like this.  On scraps of paper with little notes and changes.

Her husband soon after they were married.

The museum was full of costumes and shoes....she is REALLY TINY!

Dolly will give a book a month to every child born in Tennessee from the time they are born until they are 5 years old.  When you have a baby in Tennessee you are told about the program and can sign up for it.  One of our tour guides daughter just got her first book.  He was so excited.  It's an amazing program.

Fred tried his hand at fishing in the creek.  No fish for dinner, but he enjoyed throwing out the line.
