June 4 Fish Boil at Fitzgeralds is a MUST!

If you ever get anywhere near Lake Geneva you MUST go to Fitzgerald's in Genoa Junction for their FISH BOIL.  It is the most incredible place to eat.  The home it's located in is a historical eight sided  gem, the kitchen it outside YEAR ROUND, and it's all you can eat for about $15.   Cash only!

The guys are admiring the kitchen.  The entire dinner (except for the apple crisp dessert) is prepared in this kitchen.

That's dinner cooking in there.  Red potatoes, onions and the most delicious cod you will ever eat in your life.

Watching them prepare dinner is like going to a show.  The smell from the wood fire is de-licious!

They potatoes go in first for about 30 minutes, then the onions for about 15 and then the fish where they finish it off with a big "boil" by throwing kerosene on the fire to get that fast boil and finish off the fish.

When it boils over the water cools down the fire so they can remove "dinner". 

And here it comes, fresh from the pot to the "dining room" where you pick up your food and can return as many times as you want.  You also get some yummy coleslaw and fresh bread.  The yard is like a park and you can eat on the grass, on the deck, inside and even upstairs on a busy night.  This was a slow night so only one pot boiling and we had a front row seat on the deck.

Obviously some "happy campers"!!!  Oh, I forgot to mention the other choice is BBQ chicken or BBQ ribs, but the Fish Boil is the main event.
