June 19 Old Mission Penninsula

We had stopped at this field to try and catch a shot of a heard of Buffalo we'd seen here the day before.  Unfortunately the Buffalo had moved on to greener pastures, but look who ran through the field while we were there.

Temporary venue for the weekend right on the Bay in Traverse City

A wall mural in Saginaw

Just one of the many, many magnificent views around the lake.

Lots of wine vineyards, which we had not expected.  Of course Cherries are a big crop here as well.

Cherry tree grove.  Can't even begin to imagine how beautiful this area was when the trees were in bloom.  Strawberries and Asparagus are some other crops we saw being sold along the road.

A cute chicken coop.

We passed signs on the road to Leelanau and Old Mission that we had passed the half way maker, but never got a picture until we walked up to the lighthouse.  That makes 3 trips across the half way point!!

Looks like dinner went by!
