June 22 The Martins and Frankenmuth, MI

Flowers from Joan's garden

This looked like a purple heart to me.  So lovely.

The pond in their garden.  A frog lives there, but try as I would I could not catch a shot of him.  We definitely heard him though.  Noisy little devil.

The Martin residence

The Martin Campground was the nicest one we've stayed in so far!  Great site and meals included.

A bar on the way to Frankenmuth with Bill and Joan

Bill and Joan took us to Bronner's in Frankenmuth, WI.  What an awesome Christmas store, and not just Christmas, but any holiday you might want to decorate for.  The place is HUGE and truly every ornament that was ever invented could be found in this store.  It's really a good thing we don't live near here, I'd be in deep trouble.  If you are ever anywhere near Saginaw you need to detour to this place.  This shop is worth the visit alone, but the town itself is adorable.  Very German and loaded with great restaurants and shops.

Love that "Courage of the Franconian's"!!

Joan was pointing out all the Lakes we've seen on this journey.  Lake Michigan, Lake Superior and Lake Huron so far.

Wall mural in Saginaw

These life sized sculptures are placed all over the City of Saginaw.  Amazing details to each one.

Sculpture of Attorney's in front of the Courthouse.
