| The author of Pollyanna was from Littleton, NH. When I moved to Franconia I found an original book of Pollyanna (my favorite movie, by the way) and found out she was from there. I shared the information with the then Executive Director of the Chamber and suggested they were missing out on a great opportunity. Obvi |

| The pine tree in the front I planted at the Rivagale when it was about 2 or 3 feet tall. When the Inn was transformed in to an office complex the new owner let me dig up "Pollyanna" and move her to the Gale River Motel. By then she was about 5 feet tall. So good to see her healthy. |
